Behind every design there's a story. That's often times how we name our products. Orcas was one of our original designs. A simple nod to the blues of the Puget Sound in the summertime. Growing up in Seattle, you'll be quite familiar with the bodies of water surrounding you. If you're lucky too, you venture out to the San Juan Islands about two and a half hours north of Seattle. You'll jump on the Anacortes Ferry and head right over to one of the most popular islands of the San Juans, Orcas Island.
One of the many times visiting Orcas Island, my family and I took our little aluminum boat and scooted right out into the sparkling waters. We brought our camping gear, our food and drink and camped for a weekend. With so much to explore on the islands we never get bored and inspiration is everywhere. When I came home from that weekend I dreamed up this design here and named it after what inspired me.
We've done this design in several different color ways now but we're revisiting some of what has made Splash Fabric what it is today! A nice little throwback! Our Orcas fabric features a few different tones of blues against a white backdrop. This fabric makes any project more fun!
