I have been looking at some metrics for our business this year and thanks to you ALL it was a stupendous + rewarding year.
We started our insider Facebook group and now have 300 of y’all!
We built a new website. We love it, and you do too:
You made a record 3,593 orders this year. (That’s up 842 from last year!)
We improved your access to our FREE sewing patterns & video tutorials.
We grew into some additional space in our studio/warehouse this year + now have all our fabrics & products together.
It’s about time because we brought in a record 7 new prints! (We are up to 26 fabric prints now!)
Our best selling product was our Kale Rectangle tablecloth (because YOU are our people)
Other stats:
We have 7,000+ on our email list (lucky you)
We have ~11K Insta followers
We made LOTS of in-kind donations (like tablecloths for @peoplespopuppantry) & were able to give generously to some of our favorite charities:
National Parks Foundation
Boys+Girls Clubs
When We All Vote
Planned Parenthood
Above all, we had a lot of fun, learned a lot, spent a lot of time outside & even made some sewing videos.
Remember, today, on the Solstice, it’s the shortest day of the year. From here on, days get longer. We hope you spend time with loved ones this holiday, however you celebrate.
Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
AND here’s our favorite cookie recipe!

Pro tip: I found Hershey’s Kisses in DARK chocolate for a step up this year!
Ingredients
- 1/2cup granulated sugar
- 1/2cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2cup butter, softened
- 1egg
- 1 1/2cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
- 3/4teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2teaspoon baking powder
- Additional granulated sugar
- About 36 Hershey's Kisses Brand dark chocolates, unwrapped
Steps
1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, beat 1/2 cup granulated sugar, the brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and egg with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon, until well blended. Stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder until dough forms.
2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in additional granulated sugar. On ungreased cookie sheets, place about 2 inches apart.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Immediately press 1 milk chocolate candy in center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.
Let us know if you try them!
