I always knew fabric store owners were wonderful people. Why was I afraid to go show my prints at Quilt Market? (It's a big tradeshow for fabric store owners. this time it was in Portland which was convenient because I have relatives there to visit and stay with.) I was afraid to show up with the fabrics I have designed in front of all the reps I used to buy fabrics from. Well, a couple of those same reps want to rep little ol' me!! Full Circle, baby. It was fun and exciting. they ate it up. Another example for me of the value of facing my fears.
I even got teary eyed with a few store owners when we discussed that our real job was to empower and bring joy to women thru creativity and color. These are my people!
Please don't let your fears stop you from doing what you love.
What I kept hearing is that my fabrics are fresh, different, lovely, beautiful... Our laminates are softer too. In fact, better than what has been available in the market before.
I only finally got my new fabric from the mill last week - just in time! "SISAL" - Malibu, Moab & Mojave were very well received. We will be posting them on the website as we have photos ready.
Here is am with my first sale, Bear Patch Quilting in White Bear Lake, MN. Thank you. http://www.bearpatchquilting.com/index.htm
It sure helped to park my cute husband, David, out in the lobby next to my little teaser display wearing an apron saying "Touch Me". He was happy to work the crowd with that.
Who'd a thunk 31 years ago that we would be here one day?
Marriage is a journey.
Let me know if you know of a fabric store who needs IMPWEARhome fabric.
You can also buy it in both Laminated and Un-coated 100% cotton on the website.
